On the Beach

On the Beach
Ocean waters
Flowing through my hand
Sand
Running through my toes
I am in my own world
With you the sun
With you the sand
With you the wide ocean blue

Smell of salt water
Runs through my nose
Quick rush of relaxation
Goes to my head
Laying on the beach
Sun glowing on my skin
This only mean…
It’s finally Summer

I Saw From the Beach

I saw from the beach, when the morning was shining,
A bark o'er the waters move gloriously on;
I came when the sun o'er that beach was declining,
The bark was still there, but the waters were gone.

And such is the fate of our life's early promise,
So passing the spring-tide of joy we have known;
Each wave that we danced on at morning ebbs from us,
And leaves us, at eve, on the bleak shore alone.

Oh, who would not welcome that moment's returning
When passion first waked a new life through his frame,
And his soul, like the wood that grows precious in burning,
Gave out all its sweets to love's exquisite flame.

Belize´s Fauna

The howl of the black howler monkey, welcomes you to Belize. The noise of this animal is so chilling that is constantly confused with the jaguar. Almost all are in the Community Baboon Sanctuary. Flamingos, herons, egrets, white ibis, toucans, cormorants have found their ideal habitat here. At night, tree frogs, lizards and thousands of species of insects make their appearance. Smaller animals, insects, can be a real surprise. If you suddenly look at a few hundred lights, more than ten miles away, are the spiders. The parasol ants live with fungi and are easy to observe in the trees. Here snakes are quite common. Hundreds of species of mammals roam the jungle, zagüeyas, armadillos, kinkajous, anteaters, the paca, jaguar, jaguarundi, margay, ocelot, pumas and many more. These strange animals make Belize a different country. The "mountain cow" as they call the northern tapir, with its three hundred kilos, is the biggest animal in the jungle.

These and other animal species may be found by visiting the beautiful country of Belize.
